Important crops would be soybeans, quinoa, chickpeas, (these three have excellent protein and can be sprouted in all seasons for extra roughage), sunflowers (good for energy and a useful oil crop as well if we have engineers), sugar (excellent energy store) and peppermint (to aid digestion of fibrous foods).
